Media with its all components including newspapers, tv shows, radios, internet, is in the centre of our lives. The colourful face of media is so fascinating including cinemas, exciting TV show, and music programmes that are consumed by all teenagers.
I consume media watching cinemas, reading newspapers and magazines mostly. I really enjoy to see different views of same events though cinema. Also, every film reflects the feelings; their reasons and consequences in a various ways. The figments of the imagination turn to reality by cinema and it is called art. I also consume the media reading newspaper and magazines. The articles of some writers such as Ilhan Selçuk really impress me and I try not to miss them. Because their writings enable me to think widely about recent political and social events, making connections and relations with past cases and it makes me to see whole picture.
Besides the colourful face of the media, it could be used to manipulate people who is uneducated or easily influenced. Especially in the election times, biased media affects the opinions of people, exaggerating the developments that the political party succeeded. Moreover, increasing reality shows make some people addicted to these programmes and this is one of the way of creating a society that does not consists of people who think and question the events.
